Protecta EX Mortar Concrete Floor Mixed Services
Protecta FR Board and Protecta EX Mortar may be used to provide a penetration seal for mixed services within the same aperture. Services can include cables, cable trays, metallic pipes, composite pipes and plastic pipes, with and without insulation.
The technical solutions shown in the downloads opposite are for mixed services, but do not include all the different options and are provided as a quick guide only. To ensure compliance with AS1530 you will need to refer to the Tech Drawings for each particular penetrant applicable to your situation.
The technical solutions in those Tech Drawings can be combined in the same aperture. However, the fire and sound classifications for the whole seal can be no better than the lowest classification given on any through service, what we term ‘worst-case-scenario’.
