HUOKE HK-MA Type Cable Transits
The HUOKE HK-MA Cable Transit is a fire-rated cable penetration system designed for cables passing through steel bulkheads and decks. The system combines HK-G Intumescent Firestop Sleeves around individual cables, HK-A Marine Fireproof Blanket as the primary fireproof sealing filler, and HK-M Intumescent Firestop Sealant to seal both ends of the penetration.
The HK-MA system provides a Class A0–A60 fire rating, with tested water tightness of 0.25 MPa and air tightness of 0.10 MPa. The system accommodates classification society-approved cables up to Ø110 mm, with a maximum cable occupancy of 40%.
The use of HK-A Marine Fireproof Blanket as the primary filler reduces the overall weight of the cable transit, which HUOKE identifies as beneficial for reducing vessel weight.
For systems supplied by Firestop Centre in Australia and New Zealand, FIRESTOP Wool, a 128 kg/m³ ceramic fibre blanket, may be supplied as an alternative filler material, subject to confirmation of the applicable system requirements and approvals.
